We have not established a reliable mapping between the supported source tags detected here and X’s labeling decisions. An AI metadata result tells you what the file declares. It should not be read as a promise that X will add or remove a particular badge.

You can still use the cleanup workflow to inspect and remove supported blocks before sharing. This is useful file preparation even when the platform outcome is uncertain. The tool does not check whether a post will receive a Community Note or another contextual notice.

Original media, screenshots and reposts

A screenshot and a camera original can look similar while carrying different records. Likewise, a downloaded copy may no longer include metadata that existed before upload. Scan the version you intend to publish rather than using another copy as evidence.

For photographs accompanying location-sensitive updates, review decoded GPS values where present. Removing supported GPS metadata is separate from removing visual location clues: a street sign or recognizable landmark remains in the picture.

Does X read every AI tag in a file?

There is no verified one-to-one mapping here between a supported AI source field and an X label. This page therefore offers metadata cleanup rather than a promised platform outcome. It also does not predict Community Notes, content moderation or distribution.

Privacy details worth checking in X uploads

For a location-sensitive update, check whether the photo includes GPS coordinates or a capture timestamp. File cleanup does not conceal landmarks, street signs, faces or text visible in the media. Review the picture and the decoded metadata as separate parts of your privacy check.

Hidden tags versus watermarks you can see

An X AI watermark cleaner can mean different things to different people. Labelcleanup works on supported C2PA, XMP, EXIF and IPTC metadata. It does not erase visible logos, rebuild covered pixels or remove pixel-based signals such as SynthID.

After cleanup, review the downloaded X attachment, including its orientation. The media data is not re-encoded, but metadata can influence how a viewer displays it. A later edit can attach new records.
